Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data DueDateAlerts collects, why, and the choices you have. DueDateAlerts is run by Rastotel Technologies Private Limited, registered office 1379 Sector C, Pocket 1, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi 110070, India. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, optional mobile number and password (stored only as a secure hash, never as plain text). If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from them.
• Reminders: what you want to be reminded about, the dates, how often they repeat, and the people you send reminders to (their names, email addresses or mobile numbers).
• Payments: the plan you bought, the amount, and the order and payment reference from Razorpay. We never receive your card or bank details.
• Helpy: the text of what you tell Helpy and what it remembers for you (for example, where you kept your keys). Audio is never stored.
• Messages to us: what you send through the contact form.
• Technical data: your IP address and browser type, to keep accounts secure and to stop spam and abuse.

Why we use it

• To send your reminders and run your account.
• To send messages about your account: email confirmation, password resets, receipts and important service notices.
• To keep the service secure, prevent fraud and spam, and meet legal and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we don't use your reminders for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only with the companies that help us run the service, and only what they need:

• Hostinger, for hosting our website and database.
• Our email and SMS providers, and Meta (WhatsApp), to deliver your reminders and confirmation codes.
• The push services of your browser or phone (Google, Apple or Mozilla), if you turn on app notifications. They receive only the notification text.
• Razorpay, to process payments.
• Google and Facebook, only if you choose to sign in with them.
• Cloudflare Turnstile, to tell people from spam bots on our forms.
• If you use Helpy: your browser (Google or Apple) turns your voice into text, and Anthropic's AI reads the text and your Helpy notes to understand and answer you.

We may also share data when the law requires it.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that the site needs to work: one keeps you signed in, and one remembers who invited you, if you came through a friend's link. We don't use advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your reminders and contacts within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as payment and tax records).

Your rights

You can see and correct your details in your account, and ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and data. Write to support@duedatealerts.com; Delete your data explains how. You can also stop SMS or email reminders at any time.

If you're not happy with how we handled your request, you can write to our Grievance Officer at support@duedatealerts.com.

Changes

If we change this policy in an important way, we will tell you by email or on the website.
