How to use Helpy
Helpy is a free memory assistant in DueDateAlerts. Tell it where you kept things, and ask later when you forget. You can talk or type.
1. Tell Helpy where you kept something
Tap the big microphone button and say one short sentence. Say what it is, and where it is.
- “My car keys are in the bedroom almirah, second shelf.”
- “I kept my passport in the steel cupboard, top drawer.”
- “The spare house key is with Sharma ji next door.”
2. Ask Helpy later
When you can't find it, just ask. Helpy answers on the screen and reads it aloud.
- “Where are my car keys?”
- “Where did I keep my passport?”
- “What have I told you?” (lists everything)
3. Moved something? Tell Helpy
- “I moved the car keys to the key stand.”
- “Forget the passport.” (deletes that note)
4. Ask for a due-date reminder
Helpy opens the reminder form, already filled in. Check it and press Save. Nothing is set until you save.
- “Remind me to pay insurance on 5th November.”
- “Remind me about the electricity bill on the 10th at 9 am.”
Tips for the best results
- Say one thing at a time, in one or two sentences. Very long messages are refused.
- Helpy stops listening after 15 seconds. Speak soon after you tap the button.
- Talk in a quiet room. Turn down the TV or radio first, or Helpy may hear it instead of you.
- Be specific about the place: “bedroom almirah, second shelf” is easier to find than “in the room”.
- If the microphone doesn't work, type in the box below the button. It works the same way.
- The first time, your browser asks to use the microphone. Tap Allow.
- Check “What Helpy remembers” on the Helpy page. You can correct or delete any note there.
- Helpy is free, with a daily limit. If you reach it, try again the next day.
Your privacy
Your browser (Google or Apple) turns your voice into text. Helpy keeps only the text, never the audio, and only you can see your notes. You can delete them at any time.
